The BISD Elementary Basketball League held a tournament the weekend of January 10, 2014. During this tournament the elementary teams from around the district came together to compete for the top prize. This year’s winning team was Homer Drive Elementary who beat out Pietzsch-MacArthur for the championship title.
“We have a strong commitment to the students in this district and feel that through playing in team sports they are not only staying healthy and active, they are also learning valuable character skills” said Rodney Saveat, BISD Athletic Director.
Students, parents, and community members attended the tournament to cheer on the teams.
