Seven BISD Senior football players were named to the 2014 Texas High School Coaches Association Academic All-State Team. This is a prestigious honor and recognizes how hard all of these young men have worked both on the field and more importantly in the classroom to achieve a high level of academic success throughout their entire high school career.
To earn a spot on the team for Academic All-State, a student must meet specific criteria including:
- Be a senior athlete in good standing with the team at the time of nomination
- Must be of GOOD MORAL CHARACTER
- Must have an overall grade point average of 92 or above.
A student's, class rank, and SAT and/or ACT scores are considered as well to earn a spot on the team.
