The American Valve and Hydrant (AVH) Plant held a Beaumont ISD Learn Manufacturing Simulation activity for students who attend Paul Brown Center. Students got an opportunity to tour the American Valve and Hydrant facility and spent time with employees of the plant learning about manufacturing. This program was developed by a group of AVH employees led by Thomas Matlock and Chad McWilliams. One important lesson students learned was improving manufacturing efficiency by promoting team collaboration and problem solving. American Valve and Hydrant is a company that specializes in the manufacturing of water works products located in Beaumont, Texas.
