Patricia Lambert hails from New Orleans, Louisiana. She's served in public education for more than 36 years. Lambert received a bachelor's degree in elementary education from Southern University, and a master's in curriculum and administration from University of New Orleans. She earned another master's plus 30 hours in Administration from Loyola University in New Orleans and Urban Superintendent's certification from Harvard University in Boston. Lambert has been a teacher, curriculum coordinator, testing coordinator, staff developer, elementary and secondary principal, early childhood director, and associate director of curriculum instruction and professional development. She's held the office of president of the Principal's Association of New Orleans and coordinated several statewide Management Conferences.
Lambert became a citizen of Beaumont 10 years ago and began her career as assistant principal at Vincent Middle School. Two years later, as principal of French Elementary, she led that campus to its first Texas Assessment of Knowledge and Skills «recognized" status. In 2006, as principal of Central High School, she led Central to several firsts, beginning with changing its name to Central Medical Magnet High School while initiating the District's first Medical Prep Program, where she partnered with several local and stare medical facilities and universities to prepare students for medical professions. Under her leadership, Central became the District's first TAKS "recognized" High School in BISD and the first high school with exemplary performances. She increased the campus graduation rate to 90o/o and Central became the first high school in BISD to be named one of the top 10 performing campuses in Texas. Central was also an ACT-NCEA Model Campus fur two consecutive years.
Lambert has been named elementary and secondary Principal of the Year in Louisiana and Texas. She now serves BISD as the Assistant Superintendent of Curriculum and Instruction & Secondary Schools.
