Approximately 430 students currently attend the Taylor Career and Technology Center where there are 13 different programs including: Auto Collision, Auto Technology, Business Management, Computer Maintenance and Networking, Culinary Arts, Welding, Graphic Design Cosmetology, and Petrochemical Plant Processes.

Many of programs offered are currently dual-enrolled courses, and our students receive college credit toward an associate’s degree while they are attending the TCC.  Business Management, Computer Maintenance and Networking, Culinary Arts, Child Guidance, and Petrochemical Plant Processes students are all dual-enrolled at Lamar Institute of Technology.  Graphic Design students are dual-enrolled at Lamar State College- Port Arthur.  Additionally, our Welding and Auto Technology students have the opportunity to receive college credit with LIT if they continue their programs after high school.

Taylor Career Center has two licensing programs at the TCC: Cosmetology and Manicure.  If the students meet the contact hours required for state licensure, they may test and receive their license when they graduate.

Students can go to work in their related studies when becoming a senior through a co-op job opportunity program.  This allows them to practice their program area skills in a work setting while gaining experience and making money.  Students are also able to complete in Skills USA competitions for scholarship opportunities and the ability to showcase their skills through projects.
