Beaumont ISD Schools received a $5000 grant from the ExxonMobil Educational Alliance program to support the school’s math and science programs. The Educational Alliance program is designed to provide Exxon and Mobil retailers with an opportunity to invest in the future of their communities through educational grants to neighborhood schools. Tricon Inc and Express Mart the parent company of convenient stores nominated 10 schools for the grant. ExxonMobil believes local retailers are best qualified to work with local educators in helping identify schools and programs most in need of financial support. The recipients of the grants were: Blanchette Elementary, Caldwood Elementary, Curtis Elementary, Dishman Elementary, Guess Elementary, Jones-Clark Elementary, King Middle School, Odom Academy and Ozen High School. Beaumont ISD Board Trustee, Mike Neil, a representative from Tricon Inc and Express Mart presented the checks the schools’ principals.
